Kochi: The High Court has dismissed senior government pleader PG Manu in the case of molesting a young woman who had sought legal help. Advocate PG Manu’s resignation was received in writing.
The Chotanikara police had registered a case against the government pleader on the basis of a complaint that a young woman who had come to seek legal help had been molested.
This was followed by the dismissal of senior government pleader PG Manu by the High Court. The woman had complained that she was tortured and threatened not to reveal the information about the torture.
The woman also told the police that after being forcibly tortured, she took private pictures on her mobile phone.
The victim of the 2018 rape case is approaching lawyer PG Manu for legal advice based on what the police officer said.
The woman was summoned to Manu’s office in Kadavantra on the pretext of providing legal assistance. The complaint is that he was forcibly tortured.
The lawyer says that the girl, who was mentally damaged by the torture, did not tell her family about the torture at first. Later, the woman complained to Aluva Rural SP that the harassment took place on October 9 and 10.

The girl’s lawyer said that Manu called the girl’s house and pressured her not to complain to the police and later asked for an amicable solution.
