Adivi Sesh’s ‘Major’, based on life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, to hit theatres on June 3

Adivi Sesh’s first Pan India film ‘Major’ will have its theatrical release on June 3, announced the makers. From the time he planned to make a film on the life of 26/11 hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Sesh has been very attentive to every aspect of the making of ‘Major’.

Sesh himself has penned the story and screenplay of the film which is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka. The film will have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam languages. ‘Major’ is produced by Sony Pictures India, G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment and A+S Movies.

Inspired by true events, the film portrays how Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan saved the lives of numerous hostages before being killed by terrorists in the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai on November 26, 2008 during the infamous attack on the heritage hotel.

The film has on-board Prakash Raj as K. Unnikrishnan and veteran actress Revathi as Dhanalakshmi Unnikrishnan, to essay the role of Sandeep’s parents. Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar and Murli Sharma are the other prominent cast of the film.
