Thiruvananthapuram: The relatives of a 23-year-old man in Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram, have claimed food poisoning as the cause of death.
Relatives say that after buying a cake from a shop in Varkala on 29th, he felt physical discomfort.
Vinu, a native of Varkala Ilakaman, died this morning. Vinu was undergoing treatment at Paripally Medical College Hospital due to physical discomfort.
Vinu's mother and siblings are in hospital with similar symptoms. The police informed that the cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem
The relatives alleged that on the evening of 29th, he had bought and eaten a cake from a shop near his house and after this, he developed physical discomfort including abdominal pain.
Physical discomfort was not a concern at first. However, he was taken to Paripally Medical College this morning as his physical discomfort worsened. Relatives say that Vinu died before reaching the hospital.
Vinu's mother, brother and sister have sought treatment here with similar symptoms.
