Kozhikode: Governor Arif Muhammad Khan was angry with the police for not removing the banners erected by the SFI on the Calicut University campus. The governor called the police “bloody fools” and “shameless people”.
SFI had put up banners against the Governor. The governor had ordered to remove the banners. Governor Arif Muhammad Khan came to the scene expressing his anger that the vice chancellor or the police did not take action in this regard despite the instructions given in the morning.
Around 6.45 pm, he unexpectedly walked through the campus and shouted at the police to remove the banners immediately. The governor shouted and insulted the police as ‘bloody fools’ and ‘shameless people’.
Shouting at the officials, the governor was conducting a curfew. The governor shouted at the officials including Malappuram SP for not removing the banner. The governor was speaking in such a way that even the senior officers of the police were insulted.
The banners were removed after this. The SP and other policemen removed the banners. More policemen have also been deployed in front of the university gate.
Meanwhile, the governor’s action is getting a lot of criticism on social media. Arif Muhammad Khan is being criticized on social media that he is losing respect for the position of governor.
