Chrome and Firefox under attack by malware extension

Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are found to have been attacked by a malicious browser extension. The malware based extension is named ‘Tiempo en colombia en vivo’ is capable of spying and hijacking the browser completely. The malware extension is been discovered by ‘Malwarebytes’, which according to them, prevented any attempt of removal. While commenting on it, researchers said that the malware extension was capable of snooping on the web behavior of users as well.

Once got access to the browser, the malware starts redirecting users to a fake browser page. Experts suggested users to add ‘disable extension’ after chrome.exe in the shortcut command line to regain the control of browser. About Firefox, users can access the Task Manager and terminate the browser to prevent the malware extension attack.
