NIA arrested two more people in Coimbatore car bomb blast case on Wednesday. Arrested. Sheikh Hidayatullah and Sanofar Ali, who conspired in connection with the blast, were arrested. Earlier nine people were arrested in this case. The total number of people arrested in the case is 11.
Last October 23, a car packed with explosives exploded outside the Kotai Eswaran Temple in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Jamisha Mubeen, an ISIS operative, acted as Chawer.
The bombing was planned last February. The project was planned at Sathyamangalam forest near Erode. Umar Farooq, who was arrested earlier, Jamisha Mubeen, the killed driver, Mohammad Azharuddin, Sheikh Hidayatullah and Sanofar Ali were involved in the conspiracy.
Then in Coimbatore on 23rd October in a Maruti 800 LPG car. After attaching the cylinder, it was brought near the Kottai Ishwara temple and exploded. Jamisha Mubeen, who was the driver, was 25 years old.
Initially, it was treated as a normal car accident. After extensive investigation, it was found that it was a planned terrorist attack.
