Former forensic wing head of Thiruvananthapuram medical college Dr P Rema (61) passed away on Friday morning. She is wife of actor Jagadish.
Paying tribute to Rema, actor Edavela Babu said that she had been suffering from Parkinson’s disease for six years and was bedridden for about a year and a half. He said, ” It was due to her will-power that she lived for so long. She had a very good personality.”
Edavela Babu also said that it was Rema Chechi who gave courage to Jagadish. He also revealed that Dr Rema was his dearest sister and shared a personal bond with her. Babu recalled that she was his uncle’s student.
“Rema chechi always had the helping mind for her colleagues at any time. When Kalabhavan Mani passed away, he had to undergo postmortem at Alappuzha or Thrissur Medical College. Rema Chechi was called for help. It was she who arranged for the post-mortem at Thrissur Medical College,” Edavela Babu added.
