A poster congratulating BJP leader and actor Krishna Kumar was a poster that went viral on social media in the last few days. The poster said that Eenchakal Bypass in Thiruvananthapuram is becoming a reality and greetings to Krishna Kumar.
This poster went viral on social media in a big way. Later, a film called Flyover, produced by Krishnakumar, was also circulated on social media. A picture of a small culvert connecting the two banks on a rural road was circulated.
The social media campaign was that this is the Eenchakal flyover. But it is clear that this is not a flyover. Images of a culvert connecting some other rural roads are popularly known as Eenchakal Palam.
Meanwhile, the construction of the actual Eenchakal bridge has not started. Eenchakkal is the busiest junction on the city’s Kazhakoottam-Karot Bypass. At the junction where six major and minor roads meet, heavy traffic jams are experienced.
On February 3, 2022, under the leadership of Minister Antony Raju, a meeting and discussion was held with Union Surface Department Minister Nitin Gadkari regarding flyover permission. Dr Shashi Tharoor MP, Transport Secretary Biju Prabhakar I. P. S. and National Highways Authority Chairperson Alka Upadhyay also participated in the discussion.
But due to the delay in starting the construction, Krishna Kumar met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Krishnakumar fans argue that the Eenchakal flyover will become a reality after that.
