Extreme winter: Death toll in US rises to 32, people can’t leave their homes, power outages

The United States has been reeling under severe cold and heavy snowfall for days. The country experienced a severe winter and snow on Christmas Day. According to various reports, 32 people have already died in the U.S. due to the severe winter.

The city of Buffalo, New York was devastated by the blizzard. The snowfall is so heavy that even emergency aid cannot be delivered to many places. Vehicles are stopped on both sides of the road so that they cannot move forward. In many places, it has been advised that the weather changes in such a way that life is in danger and no one should go out of the house.

Nearly 200,000 people in eastern states woke up without power on Christmas Day. Many festive programs like the Christmas trip had to be canceled due to this reason. Thousands of flights expected to take the holiday trip had to be cancelled. Cold weather gripped 48 US states. Those who live in the houses cannot even see the neighboring houses.

13 deaths in nine states have been officially confirmed as climate change-related. The death toll is expected to increase.
