Facebook has announced a new tool, which would alert the website owners as well as developers about a possible phishing attack on their platforms. Informing the same during the F8 annual developer conference, Facebook mentioned that they were extending the capabilities of ‘Certificate Transparency Monitoring’ tool. By means of this tool, the company would be recording all the valid security certificates, which are issued by publically trusted authorities. The tools would help developers to learn about the ways to control the instances of misusages.
