Former Vice Chancellor of Kerala University Dr JV Vilanilam passed away at the age of 87.
Dr John Varghese began his career as a professor at Kerala University and in various universities in India and US. He served as the VC during 1992-1996 and retired from the service in 1996 following the teaching, administrative and research life spanning a quarter of a century.
He had worked at Mangaluru University, Dharwad University, MLC University of Journalism in Karnataka and NISWASS in Bhubaneswar.
