Kottayam: Sulu, a resident of Ponkunnam, was arrested in response to the incident where she chased the KSRT bus and smashed the headlights of the bus.
Sulu says that the bus did not stop after hitting his car and when he asked about it, the driver of the bus abused him. Sulu says that this provoked him and then he hit the headlight and broke it.
After being arrested and released on bail in the incident, Sulu was responding to the media. At the same time, Sulu said that he would file a complaint against the KSRTC employee for careless driving and insulting women.
Here is Sulu’s explanation of the incident.
“My aunt and I went to my aunt’s house and came back. It is a highway and has three lanes. KSRTC came at a good pace. Rubbed on the car and hit a mirror on the side and went away.
If I hadn’t cut in there would have been a big accident. They did not stop. When I went back and started to ask about it, the driver spoke very badly and said rude things. When there was talk back and forth, I took the lever and hit the headlight and broke it.”
Meanwhile, Sulu smashed the headlights of a KSRTC bus at Kottayam Kodimata. They were charged with non-bailable charges including vandalism. Sulu had given a statement to the police that the violence was a mistake that happened due to an emotional disturbance when the bus hit the car.
Although Sulu and his family said they were ready to settle the problem by paying compensation to the bus, KSRTC was not ready to settle. With this, the police registered a case and took Sulu into custody. The court granted bail to Sulu after depositing Rs 46,000 as compensation.
