HNS botnet to attack India, informs Bitdefender

Cyber security and antivirus company Bitdefender has warned India of a possible ‘Hide and Seek’ (HNS) attack. The malicious cyber threat HNS has already attacked a number of countries across the globe. Right now, botnet controls over 32,312 Internet of Things (IoT) devices on a global level. As was reported by Bitdefender, the upcoming botnet has already got custom built peer to peer communication capabilities for exploiting the victims.

Once a device is affected by botnet, then hackers would be able to fully control it. That said, once infected, HNS is reportedly not going to wield a long standing infection on the devices. Even a simple rebooting procedure could remove the malware from the device.
