Alphonse Putran said that a director from Malayalam misled Tamil director Cheran by saying that the movie ‘Premam’ is a copy of the Tamil movie ‘Autography’.
Alphonse said this in a note shared on social media. Alphonse revealed through social media that he heard bad news from Cheran and he is in search to know who the director is.
“A director from Kerala calls Cheran. He said that Alphonse Putra’s ‘Premam’ is a copy of your film ‘Autography’. Soon Cheran sir cuts the call. Cheran sir called me bad for no reason.
Cheran replied to Sir that I have not plagiarized even a single frame, dialogue, music, costume, script. I told him that ‘Autograph’ was my favorite movie and I didn’t want to touch even a part of it. He immediately cut the call.
After five months I called Cheran sir. He asked Sir who was that director who called that day. Sir told me to forget that incident. But I can’t. That is why I am sharing this information now.
I think the media or someone else will find out who is behind this. “I want to know the truth,” Alphonse said.
