Writer Ashtamurthy criticizes the Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph film ‘Ner’. He says that Neru is not a good movie.

Not a very good movie to be honest.
So there is a trick. It begins with the girl who is being raped looking at his face and calculating the shape of the accused and then turning it into a statue. It can be said that the hero who has given up his legal career is forced to become a P.P.A.
But a complete stranger coming to the house to rape her on the random knowledge that no one else is in the house at a certain time is very artificial. I was surprised that the girl was still threatened by the goons who came and covered her parents’ mouths with them (why didn’t they try to get away from the hands of the goons even though none of their hands were tied behind their backs!)?
Although I heard that the court scenes are special, they are all movie court scenes! Then there is the TV screen news and Ma who is running around with the mic in her hand. A film without actors is not common in Malayalam now!

The pretentiousness of the actress was to show how unintelligent the junior who helps PP is. Therefore, no intervention was expected from that lawyer. The screenwriter ran around the curtain as if she was panicking. I felt relieved when I saw Mathew Varghese’s performance as a judge.
