It was not right to portray him as a representative of what he opposed – Rajamouli’s grandson of Komaru Bhim against cinema

Rajamouli is one of the greatest cosmopolitan directors in Indian cinema. Rajamouli became famous among the Aat Malayalees through the movie Eecha. But it was through Bahubali that Rajamouli grew into a pan-Indian director.

Ranam Rudhiram Roudram is Rajamouli’s latest film starring Ramcharan and Jr. NTR in the lead roles. Adipoli is the introduction teaser of the character played by Junior NTR. Junior NTR appeared in a Muslim role at the end of the teaser.

Large-scale protests against this had already taken place on social media. They first started the protest by claiming that they had insulted a person who was a tribal warrior. The controversy was started by some tribal groups in Andhra Pradesh.

Sakshal Komaru Bhim’s youngest son has now come out against the film. He has been widely criticized for his portrayal of the film. His demand is that Rajamouli should refrain from distorting history.

His name is Son Rao. He opines that what Rajamouli is doing is an injustice to history.

“If Rajamouli had approached us before the character formation, we would have given him all the information about him. Komaru Bhim was a man who fought for the land, water and other rights of the tribal people. To portray him as a Muslim is an injustice to history. ” – Son Rao responded to the media.

Son Rao added that it was not right to portray him as a symbol of whatever idea he opposed. It is not known from any historical record that he ever disguised himself as a Muslim.

He added that this is why the director has shown disrespect to the adivasis.
