Asif Ali is one of the most loved stars of Malayalees. A few days ago, a response made by him had become controversial in a big way. He made a video with his film friends. It was in this that there was a controversial remark from Asif Ali. In this later producer Sheelu Abraham and others came out with heavy criticism of Asif Ali.
Kishkinta Kandam was his movie which was released on Onam. Similarly, Tovino’s movie was the second theft. Apart from this, Kondal is a movie starring Antony Pepe as the hero. Both of them came together as part of the promotion program of these three films.
But they were only talking about these three films. They said that you should come and watch these three films in the theater and support them. But producer Sheelu Abraham came forward saying that they are spreading a misconception that only these films are released on Onam. Now Asif Ali has publicly apologized on this matter.
“All three of us are about the same age. This was the year when Malayalam cinema got off to a great start. A lot of good movies came out and theaters became active. That’s when an event happens that none of us expected. There was a lot of negativity about it. We don’t know if theaters are affected or not. This one ona season is very important for cinema like any business. The family has all kinds of movies to watch from the theaters. We only wanted this season to be active” – says Asif Ali.
“When we were in three places related to the film promotion of the three of us, a sudden thought came to us. The rest of the films were not deliberately omitted. That is wrong. But our intention was positive. I didn’t think it would go in a negative way. It is people’s choice which one to watch. Nothing is going to happen to that movie because the name is not mentioned. It’s sad that I left out the name” – adds Asifali.
