Ever since the release of magnum opus ‘RRR’, directed by SS Rajamouli, the film has become the fastest to enter 500 crore club in three days. The film which is a visual extravaganza is likely to outperform Baahubali 2.
On the very first day of the release, RRR grossed Rs 223 crores globally and Rs 156 crore in India alone. On Saturday, it earned remarkable figures of Rs 114.38 crore and on Sunday again it received much love at the ticket window, taking the total of the three days to over Rs 500 crore.
The Tamil Nadu box office collected Rs 30 crores while Rs 53.45 crore came from the Nizam belt. The Hindi version is projected to gross approximately Rs 73 crore (net).
The epic historical drama features Jr NTR and Ramcharan in the lead and also stars Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles. RRR hit the theatres on March 25.
