Actor Jayasuriya is a proud actor of the state. Jayasuriya won the Best Actor Award at the Indian Film Festival in Cincinnati. She won the award for her performance in Ranjith Shankar’s movie I Marikutty. About 500 films from India competed in the festival.
Jayasuriya said the achievement was a big honor and Marikutty was one of the most challenging characters in her career. He also thanked the director Ranjith Shankar and his supporters for the film.
‘Marykutty’ is a 2018 film directed by Ranjith Shankar. There is no doubt that Marykutty is yet another golden age in actor Jayasurya’s career. Jayasurya has created a place in Malayalam cinema that no one else would ever compromise on.
Now adays, when the filmmakers are reluctant to look at the value of a star, even when the writers are reluctant to make a female protagonist, the film is based on a male and female character.
