Jr NTR, Kalyan Ram pay tribute to legendary actor NT Rama Rao on his 100th birth anniversary

Today marks the 100th birth anniversary of veteran actor and politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. And like every year, the great-grandsons of NT Rama Rao, Jr NTR, and his brother Kalyan Ram visited the NTR ghat to pay tribute to their grandfather.

Jr Ntr and Kalyan Ram reached early morning at NTR Ghat and paid tribute to the legendary actor and former Chief Minister in Hyderabad. Jr NTR also took to his Twitter handle and shared a pic of his grandfather NT Rama Rao and wrote, “Always remembering you.”

NT Rama Rao was a finest actor in the Telugu industry and served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years over three terms. He starred in over 300 films, predominantly in Telugu cinema, and was referred to as Viswa Vikhyatha Nata Sarwa Bhouma.

Rao received three National Film Awards for co-producing Thodu Dongalu (1954) and Seetharama Kalyanam (1960) under National Art Theater, Madras, and for directing Varakatnam (1970). He has received the erstwhile Rashtrapati Awards for his performance in the Raju Peda (1954) and the Lava Kusa (1963). He garnered the Nandi Award for Best Actor for Kodalu Diddina Kapuram in 1970, and the Inaugural Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu in 1972 for Badi Panthulu.
