Kerala has registered a total of 927 new Covid positive cases. The number of samples that turned negative stands at 689. With this, the total number of covid cases in Kerala has reached 17,922, while the state’s total active cases have reached 9,655. A total of 8,206 people have recovered from the disease. Amongst those who have turned positive today, 76 are from overseas, while 91 came from other states.
The state has registered 733 cases through transmission in the past 24 hours. Out of those who caught the disease through transmission, the sources of 67 are yet to be traced down. Incidentally, the state has also recorded 2 more Covid death case, taking the tally to 61. Varghese (71) from Thrissur, and Abdul Khader (71) from Malappuram have succumbed to death.
