July 3: India’s daily count crossed 20K mark; reported 20,903 new Covid cases

ICMR statistics suggested that India has marked its biggest daily positive case, with the country registering more than 20,000 new cases in 24 hours for the first time. India has added 20,903 new covid cases during the past 24 hours. The country has also registered 379 deaths during the last 24 hours. With this, the pandemic has claimed a total of 18,213 lives from India so far. The total number of Covid positive cases in India till date, stands at 6,25,544.

However, the country also registered 20,032 recovered cases in the past 24 hours – a feat that gives positive signals to the country. With this, the total number of active cases in India stands at 2,27,439, whereas 3,79,892 have recovered from Covid 19. India’s recovery rate too is steadily increasing and stands at 60.7%. Though Maharashtra and Delhi leads the chart of Covid cases in the country, both the states have also contributed quite a significant number of recovered cases. While Delhi’s recovered patients have crossed 60k mark, that of Maharashtra has crossed 1 Lakh mark in this regard.

ICMS statistics show that the country has managed to test 2,41,576 samples yesterday. The total samples tested by the country till date stands at 92,97,749 as of now. With ICMR sources suggesting that the country is all set to rollout Bharat Biotech’s Coronavirus vaccine by August 15th, the country has finally started inching towards a hopeful post Corona world.
