Mamta Mohandas on the second part of ‘Big B’; Rimi Tomy in the Bilal Gang

The second part of ‘Big B’, one of Mammootty’s piercing characters, is getting ready. ‘Big B’ was Amal Neerad’s directorial debut. Two years ago, Amal Neerad announced that ‘Big B’ would have a sequel. The second part is named after Mammootty’s character ‘Bilal’. The film, which was scheduled to start shooting on March 26, had to be postponed due to the Kovid epidemic. According to reports, Bilal will have some new characters along with the stars of the first part. Bilal is an exciting project for all the actors who starred in Big B. Many, including Manoj K Jayan, have said so. Now Mamta Mohandas is sharing her hopes about ‘Bilal’.

Mamta’s character ‘Rimi Tommy’ was the girlfriend of the character ‘Murugan’ played by Bala. Rimi’s father,  Innocent, played the role of Thommy Parekkadan. Mamta Mohandas talks about the difference in her character from ‘Big B’ to ‘Bilal’.

“Bilal is a movie that everyone who is a part of Big B is waiting for. All the characters in Big B are 13 years older than Bilal. That is how its time span is calculated. The character Rimi Tommy, whom I play, is now a member of Bilal’s family. Previously, it was a character with a bit of a detachment from Bilal. But now she is a member of that family. Rimi now has more love in the family than the character Murugan. During these 13 years, there have been changes in the society of women as well. That change will be in the female characters in Bilal. There was a scene in Big B where Rimi was going with the vehicle to call Bilal. But now she is part of that gang. Such changes and maturity will happen to everyone. Same activities, but new gang members. Everyone is waiting. But it’s a great movie. It will be practical only when the Kovid changes, ”says Mamta.
