In a shocking incident, a mother has stabbed her 7 year old son to death in the early hours of morning. The incident took place at Bheemanad in Mannarkkad, Palakkad, at around 5 in the morning. The mother is said to be suffering from mental illness. Reportedly, the mother got angry at the cry of her younger child – aged 9 months and resulted in stabbing her older son. The child has reportedly died on the spot, after which the neighbors knew of the incident and called police officials.
Her husband is said to be working in Ernakulam. Police and finger print experts have reached the spot and are conducting a detailed investigation on the same. Not much is known about the condition of the younger child, while the mother has been taken under custody by the police.
