The Upper House of Nepal’s parliament unanimously approved a bill to make the new political map of India a part of the Constitution. While 57 votes were cast in favor, not a single vote was cast against the bill. The bill was approved by the lower house on Saturday. Nepal marker in the new map of Uttarakhand, Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpayadurai.
In the lower house, 258 MPs voted in favor of the bill. With the passage of the bill in both Houses of Parliament, it will only need the approval of the President. India’s response is that Nepal’s actions are contrary to the understanding of border disputes.
