North Korean ruler Kim Jong Un is reportedly in critical condition. The news was quoted by the US intelligence community. On April 12, Kim had a cardiac arrest. Kim finally met the media on April 11th. Kim is reportedly in critical condition following a heart surgery. But the White House declined to comment.
Kim has not been in public since April 11. Kim was also absent from the celebrations on April 15, the birthday of North Korea’s founder, Kim Il Sung. For the first time, Kim Jong Un stays away from her grandfather’s birthday party.
South Korea also refused to confirm the matter. The Unification Ministry, which handles Korean internal affairs, said it was not responding to CNN’s report. Meanwhile, the Daily NK has reported that Kim’s health is improving after her heart surgery.
Kim took over the country in December 2011 following her father’s death.
