Not very happy that an Indian broke my record; Sachin Tendulkar praises Kohli’s achievement

Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Virat Kohli for scoring the most centuries in ODI cricket. Sachin said he couldn’t help but be happy that an Indian had broken his record.

He also noted in X that a record achievement at a big stage like the World Cup semi-final brings double happiness.

‘When I first met you in the Indian dressing room, your teammates made fun of you for touching my feet and bowing. I couldn’t stop laughing that day.

But soon you touched my heart with talent and passion. I am very happy that that boy then grew into a player called ‘Virat’.

Not very happy that an Indian broke my record. That too on a big stage like the World Cup semi-final, at my home ground, Sachin noted.
