On Suresh Gopi’s victory in Thrissur, Ramesh Pisharati says, Malayalees are wondering whether the Congressman has shown his own character.

Ramesh Pisharadi is now reacting to Suresh Gopi’s success in Thrissur. Ramesh Pisharadi says that he won because he is a good man and a leader and there is no compulsion that everyone who is in a party should fully agree with the ideology of that party. In an interview given to a YouTube channel, he asked why many people who follow the communist ideology go to the temple and how is that?

Ramesh Pisharati’s answer to the question whether it is good for BJP to win in Kerala is as follows – “When Sureshetan won, many people said that we did not look at politics, we voted for him because we saw him as a good person. Then it will be said that we should see which political party that person represents. Saying this is a big problem. Why do Muslims have to say that all Muslims are not terrorists? Why do all Hindus have to say they are not Sanghi? Because it is generalized”.

“One’s character is therefore not necessarily determined by one’s belief in a particular party or religion. There are good and bad people in every party and religion. Many of those who are in prison and those who have committed murder are believers and go to temples etc. Everything has pros and cons. We often vote by looking at the party and taking the ideas of the party into account. But every party has good people and bad people. Wherever a good person stands, he will do many good things. Wherever the bad guy is, let him do what he can do” – says Pisharadi.

“When we criticize the BJP, it should be a proper political criticism. Through this, when there is more criticism of Hindus, more neutral Hindus will go to BJP. That’s technically the problem here. If you are criticizing SDPI or Muslim League, criticize it politically. If you mix religion in it, more Muslims will go to it” – says Ramesh Pisharati. At the same time, a section of Malayalees are reacting to this in this way – are you not Congress, and don’t you say today’s Congress is tomorrow’s BJP? So there is no big surprise in what you said, it just shows the unique nature of Congressmen.
