Evidently to take on Xiaomi, Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is pitching towards assembling Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) in its plant in India. Getting ready to launch a sub brand in India, by joining hands with Amazon, Oppo’s latest move, is going to be part of Oppo’s plant, with 50 million phone production capacity. Well, the new sub brand of the company is expected to get launched next month. Reports suggest that the sub brand would be priced in the midrange of INR 10K – INR 15K, which is dominated by Xiaomi.
Meanwhile Xiaomi is slowly shifting its attention towards the offline market. Oppo is expected to better its current position in the Indian market – at 4th – if the strategy works according to their plans.
