Pinterest has made some noticeable changes to its design, with an aim of making the app and website friendlier to VI (visually impaired) ones. Pinterest has included many changes such as an improved signing up, browsing and saving options. The UI too has got better now with better color contrasts and the texts have become more readable now. Similarly, Pinterest no longer uses colors to denote any particular meaning – a move to help colorblind people.
For making the platform more accessible for VI people, Pinterest had earlier partnered with Lighthouse and collect feedback from VI. According to the reports, Pinterest employees have tested out the feature, after wearing a visual impairment goggle. While the changes are being made to the iOS and web platforms, the Android version is expected to be ready soon.
