PM Narendra Modi’s dance video circulating is not a deep fake video; Vikas Mehnte revealed the truth

The garba dance, which is said to be of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is not a deepfake video, but this dance video is of Modi’s other person. Mumbai businessman Vikas Mehante has now clarified the incident. During the Gujarati Samaj’s Diwali celebrations in London, the footage of Garba dancing went viral on social media. Vikas Mehante, who runs a steel packaging business in Malad, has an uncanny resemblance to the prime minister, saying he took Mehenta to London to attend his family’s pre-Diwali celebrations. It was during one of those functions that the mehente was filmed playing the garba with the women of Sodha’s family, but the video was circulated as the Prime Minister dancing. Mehende, who is 10 years younger than the Prime Minister, clarified the incident after the video was alleged to be a deep fake. Mehnte released a video statement on what really happened.

“I am often invited to functions in India and abroad where I try to convey Modiji’s thoughts and ideas,” he said. “I wanted to clarify that the video is not fake and I am Vikas Mahante in that video. I am a businessman and an artist. Mehante said. Danced dressed like the Prime Minister. Mehante said he had met Modi only once in 2013 when Gujarat MLA Ramanbhai Patkar introduced him in Gandhinagar. “We talked for a while but I was not allowed to take a photo with him,” he says.
