Prohibitory orders in Palakkad till April 20 over consecutive political killings

The district authority has imposed prohibitory orders in Palakkad following the killing of an SDPI activist and an RSS activist. The orders will continue till April 20 in Palakkad.
The order prohibits people to assemble in public places. Meetings and demonstrations are also prohibited in the district by the authority.

The order also stated that any person shall not be found carrying weapons in public places.

“Carrying weapons is prohibited under section 4 of The Arms Act. It is illegal to possess explosives in public places as per section 4 of the explosives act 1884. No one should spread rumours as triggering unwanted incidents,” reads the order.

In a horrific incident, Palakkad district reported two murders on the trot, that is, within 24 hours. RSS leader Sreenivasan was hacked to death on Saturday, hours after the murder of SDPI worker Subair.
