In an appalling incident, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja’s house in Delhi was robbed. According to reports, cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.41 crore was stolen from their residence in Delhi’s Amrita Shergill Marg.
Anand’s mother lodged a complaint at the Tughlaq Road police station following which an investigation is underway. The report further stated that the Delhi Police is questioning 25 employees, 9 caretakers, drivers, gardeners and other workers on the matter.
The incident happened in February. In the complaint filed, Sarla Ahuja stated that she noticed the theft on February 11 when she checked her cupboards for jewellery and cash. She had last checked the jewellery 2 years ago. They lodged the complaint on February 23.
Sonam and Anand married in 2018 and the couple is expecting their first child in Mumbai.
