‘Sri Rama is a carnivore; How to become vegetarian?’; NCP leader Jitendra Awad

Maharashtra NCP leader Jitendra Awad said that Lord Rama was not a vegetarian. “No one reads history. Everything will be forgotten in politics.

Rama is our own. He is Bahujan. Rama who hunted for food was never a vegetarian, he was a carnivore. How can someone who has lived in the forest for 14 years remain a vegetarian?” This is what Jitendra Ouhad said.

But the BJP criticized Jitendra’s remarks. But Jitendra said that he stands by his words.

“Why the controversy about what Lord Rama ate? Someone would claim that Lord Rama ate methi-baji (roasted fenugreek leaves) and there was no rice at that time.

Rama was a Kshatriya and Kshatriyas are meat eaters. I stand by what I said. 80% of India’s population are non-vegetarians and they are also devotees of Lord Rama,” said Jitendra Ouhad.
