Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Master’ to be Released in OTT Platform ?

‘Master’ starring actors Thalapathy Vijay and Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most awaited films in South India. The film, which was scheduled to release on April 9, has been postponed due to the corona virus pandemic. Audiences are eagerly awaiting the release of the film, as uncertainty remains over the reopening of theaters.

Meanwhile, rumors were circulating a few weeks ago that ‘Master’ would be released live on Amazon Prime Video with streaming rights. However, the producer Xavier Brito has made it clear that he wants Vijay fans to get a theatrical experience and that the film will be screened first and then streamed.

Over the weekend an Amazon Prime video listing image was shared on social media, which printed that ‘Master’ would be released on the OTT platform on August 14th. The news has already excited a section of fans but the majority was disappointed.

Upon closer inspection, ‘Master’ is a Korean film that deals with financial crimes and also that the listing is old and dates from 2016 or 17.

The music score for ‘Master’ is done by Anirudh and apart from Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi the movie stars Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Gauri Kishan, Brigida, and Sriman.
