Reports are coming out that Sheikh Hasina left the country immediately after her resignation. Following this, around a thousand protesters violated the curfew. They stormed the official residence of the Prime Minister. The streets of Dhaka, Bangladesh are lined with thousands of people with Bangladeshi flags. Bangladeshi media reports that more than 400,000 protesters have taken to the streets.

They tried to break into Sheikh Hasina’s official residence. Some protestors have entered offices and destroyed materials. Its video is widely circulated on social media. Many lives have been lost in this agitation.

According to reports, 98 people, including 14 policemen, were killed in the protest on Sunday alone. More than 200 people were injured. The activists of the ruling party came forward against the protesters which later resulted in the conflict. Awami League is the current ruling party.
