There are 100 graves among 30 houses. The graves of tribals were demolished and drinking water piped. A complaint was lodged with the District Collector

In Kannur Kelakat, the news is coming out that the graves of the tribal colony were destroyed to lay pipes in the Jal Jeevan Mission. Yes, three graves were dug up in Valumuk Colony and water authority contractors installed pipes. Even though there was another place, when there were no family members, the graves were vandalized and piped. At Jaljeevan Mission, the tribal graves were vandalized for drinking water connection to the nearby Anganwadi. There was another way to pipe through Anganwadi’s yard and Shobhana’s kitchen area. This was also told to the contractor. But there was no one to supervise the digging. Those who came to Pipitan were digging the grave looking for an easy way out.

Most importantly, there is no burial ground in this colony. Between 30 houses there are 100 graves. The action of the water authority contractors by destroying the graves is amid the sadness of six feet of soil. It has been decided to file a complaint with the district collector. This incident is now being discussed in the social media.
