Actor Dulquer Salmaan reacted to the incident where a foreign couple who came on a road trip in Jharkhand was attacked and gang-raped.
The actor wrote on Instagram that this news upsets him a lot. Dulquer said that no one should have such a situation anywhere. Dulquer also said that they had attended a feast organized by his relatives in Kottayam.
“I am devastated to hear this news. Recently both of them were at my relatives' house in Kottayam for a feast. No one should have such a situation anywhere', Dulquer noted.
Meanwhile, the incident took place on Friday night in Dumka district, 400 km away from Ranchi. A foreign woman who came to India as part of a world tour on a bike faced cruelty.
They had reached Jharkhand as part of their journey to Nepal and had prepared a tent for their overnight stay at Dumka. The attack took place there. Dumka SP Peetamber Singh Kherwal informed the media that all the people involved in the incident have been identified and three accused have been arrested.
Meanwhile, after the violence, the couple went live on Instagram and told what happened. 'Something happened to us that we don't think should happen to anyone.
I was raped by seven men. We were beaten and robbed. Not many items were stolen. Because they wanted to rape me. We are now in the hospital with the police', the woman said about her experience in the live video.
