Kuruvinachannel Kuruvachan says that he has not given permission for a film starring Suresh Gopi and a film starring Prithviraj in the lead role. Kuruvachan said that Ranji had given permission to Panicker to make his story into a film years ago and that he was the only one who had a verbal agreement to make the story into a film. He added that he knew that he had started writing the story based on it. It is said that director Shaji Kailas had come in connection with this and was in touch with Suresh Gopi. Kuruvachan insists that whoever does it needs his permission to make his story into a film.
Apart from that, Kuruvachan says that Mohanlal is the best person to tell his life story. But he also says that Suresh Gopi fits the shape and dialogue. Kuruvinakkunnel Kuruvachan has said that he will only give permission to the film if anyone likes the script. The films are based on a legal battle between Kuruvinakkunnel Kuruvachan and a senior police officer. Tiger producer Jinu Abraham had approached the court against Suresh Gopi for copyright infringement. The Ernakulam District Court then stayed the film. This was followed by the entry of the real Kuruvachan against the two films.
