‘Velleppam’ is directed by debutant Praveen Raj Pookkadan and produced by Jins Thomas and Dwarak Udayashankar. The film stars Shine Tom Chacko and Roma Asrani in the lead roles. Veteran music director S.P. Venkatesh composes songs and background score of the film. The film also features Noorin Shereef and Akshay Radhakrishnan.
The audio launch ceremony witnessed prominent Malayalam actors like Tovino Thomas, Unni Mukundan and Malavika Menon, together launching the audio CD with Shine Tom Chacko and others.

Velleppam revolves around the life of Sara, who is a Velleppam seller at Velleppangadi, a market of the ” Velleppam”. Sara’s irresponsible brother Josemon falls in Love with Kaleena, which takes Josemon’s and Sara’s life into more serious troubles. Sakhavu, a comrade of the ruling party is the only helping hand for Sara and Josemon, but they never knew they are up against tough and cunning opponents.
