Actor Harish Peradi responded to literary critic MT Vasudevan Nair’s political criticism. MT boldly criticizes the authorities. Harish Peradi responded that our political culture was suitable for living in his time.

‘While the Chullikadans write slogans and wash away the Chanti through the authorities, MT is still boldly spitting in the face of the authorities. MT is a bud that peeps out boldly from among a thousand thorns of slavery. Our political culture is fit to live in when MT lives,’ noted Harish Peradi.

MT Vasudevan Nair criticized Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on the stage of the Kerala Literature Festival. MT pointed out that EMS did not believe in Netrupoja and EMS was the real communist.

Those in power must embrace it. MT accused that power has become hegemony or totalitarianism and has buried the theory that power is for the service of the people. The revolutionary masses become mobs. MT also made a strong criticism that this crowd is being made into fans and soldiers.

“Freedom is not a bounty thrown by the ruler. Those in power should realize that a leader is not a cause but the need of the times,” said MT Vasudevan Nair.

Meanwhile, LDF convener EP Jayarajan accused MT’s speech of misinterpretation. Jayarajan alleged that people suffering from anti-left epilepsy are behind. EP said that MT criticized the central government. Said
