Hyundai Santro, which has been tentatively named as AH2, is geared up for launching in India on August 5, this year. Earlier, the absence of 2018 Hyundai Santro at Auto Expo 2018, was noticed by many. The new hatchback of Hyundai, reportedly, would be bringing back the Santro nameplate to India. It was in 2014, which the company rolled back the model ‘Santro’ from the Indian markets.
Reports suggest that the new Santro would be sporting a tall boy design. That said, the large glasshouse at the front and rear, coupled with large doors, would give way for a spacious cabin inside the dock. Expected to be powered by a 1,086cc petrol engine, the model would develop 70bhp as well as clock 100Nm peak torque figure.
