Volkswagen has unveiled the new generation Jetta at the North American International Auto Show. Being the company’s one of the most successful Sedan models, the 2019 edition of Jetta is been priced at $18,545. The amount, if converted to the Indian standards, stands at INR 11.76 Lakh. Based on Volkswagen’s Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB), the 2019 Jetta is a bit long, in comparison to the ongoing model. The model also comes with an increased exterior proportion and has got a large front grille and sharper lines.
Powered by a 1.4 liter turbocharged and direct injection TSI engine, the new Jetta produces a power of 144bhp. The peak torque figure stands at 249Nm. The engine is mated with a 6 speed manual transmission, while an 8 speed automatic transmission option too is been provided by Volkswagen.
