There is a big protest against the Nava Kerala Sadas going on all over Kerala. Since today, the Youth League has held protests in various places in Kozhikode. Posters in the name of the Youth League have appeared in Mukkat against the Nava Kerala Sadas. The poster says, ‘This is not to create a new Kerala, it is a waste of common people’s tax money’. The posters appeared in the name of the Mukkam Municipal Committee of the Muslim Youth League. The youth league workers who were about to protest by showing black flags to the chief minister and ministers were also taken into custody by the police. 8 people were detained in Mukkam Mangapoil. Sharif Vennakode, Jihad Tarol, Najibuddeen, AM Naseer Kallurutty, Shihab Mundupara, Ashiq Narikot, Abdur Rahman PC and Midlaj VP are in custody. There was also a symbolic protest against the Navakerala Sadas by planting a banana in Kozhikode’s Kuttikatur. 21 bananas were planted symbolically.
Another Congress and League leaders of Kundamangalam Block Panchayat participated in the Navkerala Sadas morning meeting amid such protests. Development Standing Committee Chairman N. Abu Bakar and League local leader Moitu Muttai attended the meeting in Omassery.
