Excise employee suspended for stealing beer Palakkad Civil Police Officer P.T. Priju was suspended. The action was taken for stealing six cases of beer from the brewery.
The incident in question took place in December. A routine excise inspection was carried out at the brewery. Meanwhile Priju stole the beer. The brewery authorities had filed a complaint in this regard.
Based on the complaint, the police conducted a preliminary investigation and found Priju guilty. Excise Commissioner on Friday afternoon
