7 more Covid 19 cases in Kerala, No recovery today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Covid-19 has been confirmed to 7 persons in the state today, said Health Minister Shailaja’s teacher. Four people in Kasargod district and one each in Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad districts have been diagnosed positive. Four persons from Kasaragod district came from Maharashtra, one from Palakkad and came from Chennai and one from Malappuram district from Kuwait. At the same time, the results of anyone diagnosed with the disease have not been negative. 489 people have so far been released from Covid in the state. 27 people are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals across the state.

As of yesterday, 1307 people had come from overseas recently. Of these, 650 are under observation at home, 641 at Covid care and 16 in hospitals. Of these, 229 were pregnant.

A total of 27,986 people are under observation in various districts of the state. Of these, 27,545 are under observation in homes and 441 in hospitals. 157 people were admitted to the hospital today. So far, a sample of 37,858 individuals (including the augmented sample) has been sent for inspection. Of the 37,098 samples available for testing, the results are negative. In addition, 3891 samples were collected from priority groups, such as health workers, guest workers, social contacts, as part of Sentinel Surveillance, and 3791 samples were negative.

Added a new hot spot in the state today. Hot spot is Nenmeni from Wayanad district. There are currently 34 hot spots.
