The general education department has informed that schools across Kerala will function on Saturday. The decision comes amid pending portions to be completed in schools before Onam holidays.
The schools were shut for several days last month due to heavy rains. Hence, most schools need to finish the pending syllabus before the first term examination.
On August 24, the first term examination will commence and the Onam holidays will be from September 2 to 12.
