James Cameron’s Academy Award winning 2009 epic adventure “Avatar,” the most successful film of all time, returns to theatres. Avatar is being re-released ahead of its sequel Avatar: The Way of Water.
To mark Avatar re-release, the makers have shared a new trailer of the original film. It has the original characters exploring the world of Pandora.
Cameron’s “Avatar” became the top-grossing film of all time at the worldwide box office with more than USD 2.8 billion in revenues. It was nominated for nine Academy Awards including best picture and best director, and won three Oscars, for best cinematography, production design and visual effects.

The film will hit the theaters on September 23. The film will be re-released in theatres in India three months prior to the release of its sequel – ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’. The second part of the film will hit theatre globally on December 16, 2022.
The second instalment – ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ will be released by 20th Century Studios in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
