In an appalling incident, a tribal youth in Idukki’s Marayoor was brutally killed on Friday over a verbal spat. The deceased, Ramesh (27) is a native of Periyakudi region. The incident took place around 10.30 pm.
According to reports, the accused is Ramesh’s relative Suresh. However, an official confirmation is yet to made.
Both of them indulged in a verbal spat and Suresh allegedly attacked Ramesh with a rod.
Not only that, he also pierced the rod into Ramesh’s mouth, says reports.
The accused has gone into hiding and police have launched a search.
