A man has been arrested over pretending to be shadow police and taking girls to lodge rooms and raping them. Vishnu, a native of Kannammula Puthanpalam, was arrested by Poojapura police. The owner of the lodge was also arrested.
He sexually assaulted the girls who had eloped from the Nirbhaya center by pretending to be the police. He took them to the lodge in the pretext of helping them.
The girls ran out from the Nirbhaya shelter home on Friday night. On the basis of the complaint, the police arrested both of them yesterday morning. The accused was arrested on the basis of the statement given by them. He is the accused in the case of murder of Vishnu, a resident of Puthanpalam.
